Mothers Can Finally Pay For Their Education with Obama's Scholarship Program!

There is a new plan to help working mothers who are working towards getting a college degree. The aid comes from the Federal Pell Grant, which is designed for low income students. Recently the Pell Grant has raised the amount of money that is given out to qualifying students.

In the past the maximum was $4000, now however qualifying students may recieve up to $5,100. There are also rumors floating around that this maximum may increase in the near the future. In order to apply for this grant a person must fill out a FAFSA. Once this is filled out they will let you know what and how much money you qualified for. Once that is complete all that is left is to pick a school of your choice. Another route to take is to pick your school first, as most colleges and universities have finacial aid offices. The people in these offices will walk you through the entire process. Another opportunity the federal goverenment and President Obama have made available is the American Opportunity Tax Credit. This tax credit allows you to off the first $4000 of your educational expenses.

We have reached a point in our society where the mothers are no longer expected to work in the house and be housewives. However many women never attended college, or never finished. This is a problem when they begin to climb that proverbial corporate ladder. They reach a point at which they can not advance due to their percieved lack of knowledge. This perception has cost many people in the past to hit their career highs, without reaching their full potential. The lack of a piece of paper and a picture frame is holding them back.
